We arrived safely in Arusha at about 8:30 in the evening on March 7. After traveling for 24 straight hours we were a quiet bunch. Though the group still had great spirits. Arriving at the hotel, we were ready to spread out on a bed.
I woke at about 5am in that sleepy fog that had me second guessing where I was for a moment. A few minutes later I heard the call to worship from the loud speaker of the local mosque. It was a good reminder for me to turn to God in the quiet darkness of those early morning hours. God had gotten us this far safely and for now that is enough to be thankful for.
