The bags are not yet packed, but we are eager to go. We got together one last time at Bob and Sue Jenkins' house for a Tanzanian-style meal, some hymn singing and some final preparations. We had our lovely 5 year old assistant Ella take this picture with someone's phone. It's a happy crew, ready to serve and learn and grow.We depart Wednesday, March 6 about noon for the airport. The team consists of Brenda Brown Kennedy, Hugh Kennedy, Sue Jenkins, Bob Jenkins, Kat Jenkins, Gaspar Kitange, Ashley Pikel, Mike Neumann, Julie Neumann, Rich Vetter, Jan Vetter, and Pastor Jason Bryan-Wegner. As we travel, we'll share our stories, the stories of our partners at Iambi Lutheran Hospital, and the stories of God's grace and healing showing up around us. Stay tuned.
